New changes and beginnings are always appreciated with open arms because it bring a breath of novice effects to the older set methods. We all have seen a recent change in power and a lot of clashes happening in the AI world, but there has been a new change also: the amount of investments being made.

Investments always mean that there will be a reverend effect on the job market, and this time in a very positive manner, but it won’t be the same as last time. A lot has changed in the last few years, especially after Covid-19.

People are now not hiring just bodies, but they want intelligent, knowledgeable, and trainable laborers who, in most cases, have to be ready to self-train rather than wait for some machinery to be put in effect.

A few important trends that are coming to effect in 2025 -

1. Free education and paid training -

   Getting educated about a concept is becoming cheaper and easier, and there will be a trend that will foreclose most of the education companies, but there will be a birth of newer sections that will be focused on training resources rather than just making them learn something. I see a lot of industries spearheading this initiative because of the impact and scale they can create with the projects that they might have in the pipeline.

2. Work-experience becoming irrelevant -

   There will be a lot of entry-level jobs for every age group because of changing skills, and if skills are constantly changing, upskilling will become a way to live in society and, more importantly, in any workforce. And not just theoretical upskilling but upskilling that will expand the way people think about work. Understanding how to apply a logic rather than just knowing a logic.

3. Last year, for a few Job Roles -

   Data Analyst, Software Engineer, Business Analyst, Office Executive, Hiring Associates, call operators, and support executives - Most of these roles will get killed due to Agentic AI and their applications that will make software much cheaper to buy rather than have a human being pursuing the same role.

4. Integration Engineers, Logic Reasoning Specialist - New Era, New Beginnings

   With almost all major players opening their eco-system and providing general APIs, it will help people develop faster and better. This also opens a floodgate for the requirement of engineers who can join and integrate different systems quickly. Along the same lines, with the rise of LLMs, there will be a huge need for specialists who can create an understanding layer for people to deal with AI rather than just mutely try to nod their heads in positive directions.

5. Education becoming costlier

   Affordability of education might still be a dream for the next few years as the commercial angle looks very strong right now, and ease of flow of money will take a deeper dive into making it cheaper. On the flip side, there will be a huge transfer of integration of culture and knowledge, and we can see a lot of folks from the USA moving to other countries to get educated, I predict China and India will become a new hub for global education.
